A real method, not background noise

Every session follows the Caycedian anatomy: a settling-in, a guided practice — dynamic relaxation, breathing, imagery — then a gradual return to full alertness. A calm voice, a respectful tone, no rush.

Sophrology is a complementary wellness method. It does not replace a medical diagnosis or treatment.

Frequently asked questions

What is sophrology?

A structured mind-body method created in the 1960s by neuropsychiatrist Alfonso Caycedo. It combines controlled breathing, muscle relaxation and guided imagery, practised in full awareness. Sophria follows the Caycedian school, with sessions designed with a certified sophrologist.

Is it hypnosis? Meditation?

Neither. You remain fully aware and in charge from start to finish: the voice guides, you decide. Sophrology differs from meditation in its structure — each session has an intention, alternates release and gentle movement, and ends with a complete return of tone.

How does the free trial work?

14 days free with the annual plan, 7 days with the monthly one. You get a reminder before the trial ends, and you can cancel in one tap in your App Store or Google Play settings. The trial is plenty to get well into the 21-day Discovery journey.

Can I practise offline?

Yes. Download your sessions in the app and practise offline — on a plane, on the move, or with your phone in airplane mode to stay undisturbed.

Which languages?

Interface and sessions in French, English and Spanish — over 120 sessions and soundscapes per language.

Is this medical care?

No. Sophrology is a complementary wellness method: it does not replace a medical diagnosis or treatment. For any health concern, consult your physician. And do not use the app while driving.
